The Next OctoBot Beta Is Live

Beta testing of the new OctoBot has started. After months of work on the biggest evolution of OctoBot since its creation, we are opening early access to crypto investors, traders, and strategy creators who want to help shape the future of crypto portfolio automation.
If you missed the vision behind this update, read The Next OctoBot, one platform for your entire crypto portfolio. This article is focused on how to join the beta and what you can test today.
What you can test in the beta
The new OctoBot is built around unified crypto portfolio automation and analytics. Here is what you can try as a beta tester.
Run as many strategies as you need
Combine a Smart DCA on your long-term BTC holdings, a basket strategy on altcoins, and a grid bot on ETH. All at the same time and from one app. No more need for a complex setup with multiple OctoBot processes to run different strategies.
See your full portfolio in one dashboard
Connect your exchange accounts and get a unified view of total portfolio value, allocation breakdown, strategy performance, and profits across everything.
On top of automating strategies, OctoBot now also includes analytics and insights to help you make better decisions, from a multi-exchange and multi-wallet perspective.
Keep full self-custody
Your API keys and wallet keys stay on your device, always. Your phone or computer runs your strategies. We (the OctoBot team or server) never receive your keys.
Your keys, your coins, your data.
This is the approach we describe in how to use a self custody crypto trading bot.
Following our open source philosophy, the code is auditable. You can verify every claim we make.
Zero-knowledge privacy
Self-custody is only part of the story. The new OctoBot also takes a zero-knowledge approach to privacy. There is no account to create. Our servers never see your data in readable form. Everything is encrypted and only decrypted on your device, your computer or your phone, using your private key.
Servers see nothing. Your device decrypts everything.
Privacy is backed by mathematical proofs, not promises. Without your private key, no one can read your data, including us.
Open source and cloud, finally one platform
Set up a strategy in minutes on your phone. It runs the open-source OctoBot engine published on GitHub.

The app makes it easy to use, just like OctoBot cloud, while providing the power of the open-source engine’s customizability and advanced features.
Discover community strategies
Create your own strategies and share them, or run strategies built by other traders and creators you trust.
Adopt someone’s logic, not their access to your funds.
The new OctoBot is more collaborative than ever.
Note: Strategy sharing will be added to the beta soon.
What to expect as a beta tester
The beta version of a software is not a finished product. You will likely discover bugs or incomplete features. That is exactly why we need you.
We are looking for curious, engaged testers who will push the platform to its limits and give us honest feedback. As a beta tester, you will:
- Get early access to the new platform
- Have a direct line to the team for feedback
- Influence which features make it to the official release
- Receive a reward for participating (more details soon)
How to join the beta
Ready to test? The beta is available now. The main open-source OctoBot repository on GitHub has been updated with the new version. You can download and test it directly.
- Get the latest beta from the GitHub releases page, or follow our OctoBot beta getting-started guide
- Install and run OctoBot on your computer, and get the mobile app (in beta) from the Google Play Store (Android) or TestFlight (iOS)
- Start testing
If you want to share feedback, report bugs, or talk to the team, you can also join us on Telegram or Discord. We read every message. Your feedback directly shapes what we build next.
Built for every crypto investor
The new OctoBot is open-source, self-custody, and built to automate your entire crypto portfolio from one place.
Sophisticated crypto portfolio automation should not be reserved for quant funds or technical developers. It should be accessible to any investor, on any device, with full ownership and zero compromise on privacy or control.
We can’t wait to hear what you think. Download the beta and share your feedback on Telegram or Discord.
